How to uninstall multiple apps at once on Android
You can uninstall multiple apps at once on Android from the Google Play Store, or pick them in one list with Applore and confirm each removal in turn.
Short answer
Before you start
- Apps that came with your phone as system apps cannot be uninstalled. Some can be disabled instead.3
- Apps with device admin rights must have them turned off in Settings first. See what device admin means.
- Menus vary by phone maker and Android version.
Without Applore
Google Play Store
- Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile picture at the top right.
- Tap Manage apps & device, then the Manage tab.
- Tick every app you want to remove.
- Tap the delete button, then confirm Uninstall.
Google notes that some of these steps work only on Android 13 and up.1 The list shows apps installed from Google Play.
Your home screen
On some phones, you can press and hold an app icon, tap Select, tap more icons, and then uninstall them together.2 This depends on your phone’s launcher.
Settings
Open Settings › Apps, choose an app and tap Uninstall. This removes one app at a time.
Steps with Applore
Uninstall App is free in Applore.
- Open Applore. On the Home tab, go to Storage Tools › Uninstall App.
- Allow usage access if Applore asks. Without it, Applore cannot show app sizes.
- Search for an app, or sort the list by name, size, install date or cache to find the ones you want.
- Tick every app you want to remove, then tap Uninstall.
- A summary shows how many apps you picked and how much space you will free. Tap Confirm. In Applore Free, an ad may show first.
- Android shows its uninstall dialog for each app in turn. Tap OK for each one, or Cancel to keep that app.
Want a copy first? In Applore’s Settings, turn on Move deleted app to recycle bin. Applore then saves each app’s installer (APK) before it is removed, so you can reinstall it quickly. Read how to back up an app’s APK to see what that copy does and does not include.
You can also select several apps in App Manager › Manage Apps and uninstall them from there.
Common problems
An app is missing from the list
Applore lists apps you installed. System apps are not shown, because they cannot be uninstalled. Some can be disabled in Settings › Apps.
Android says the app is a device admin
Open Settings › Security › Device admin apps (the location varies), turn off that app, then try again.
App sizes are blank
Applore needs usage access to read app sizes. Allow it in Settings › Apps › Special app access › Usage access.
My phone shows its own extra confirmation
Some phone makers add their own uninstall screen. Confirm it as usual.
What stays private
Uninstalling happens on your phone through Android’s own dialog. The list of apps you remove is not sent to analytics. If you turned on the APK copy and signed in to Google Drive, copies go to your own Drive. For all the app tools, see the app manager in Applore.
Questions
Can Android uninstall apps without asking for each one?
The Google Play Store can remove several selected apps after one confirmation, from Manage apps & device › Manage. Other apps, including Applore, cannot remove apps silently: Android shows its own uninstall dialog for each app. That extra tap is a safety measure, and you can cancel any single app without stopping the rest.
Can I remove system apps with Applore?
No. Apps that came with your phone as system apps cannot be uninstalled by Applore or any other app. Many phones let you disable some of them instead: open Settings › Apps, choose the app and tap Disable, if that button is available. A disabled app stops running and disappears from your app list.
