How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to info@applore.io.
  2. Use the subject Delete my Applore account.
  3. Send it from the Google email address you signed in to Applore with, so we can confirm the account is yours. You don’t need to include a password, PIN or any other details.

Email a deletion request

If you tapped Delete account in the app, Applore has already signed out on your phone. That doesn’t delete your account on our server. The email request does.

What happens next

  • We delete your account and the data listed below within 30 days of receiving your request.
  • We send a confirmation email to the same address when deletion is complete.
  • If the request doesn’t come from the address on the account, we reply asking you to send it from that address. We never ask for your App Lock PIN or pattern.

What we delete

  • Your account email address and name (and profile photo link, if stored).
  • Your login token and device tokens used for notifications.
  • The link between your Pro purchase or subscription and your Applore account on our server, and referral records tied to your account.
  • Security-alert records held for your account, if any.
  • Any App Lock password-recovery data held on our server, including stored PIN or pattern images.
  • Session analytics records linked to your account, and translation suggestions you submitted while signed in.

What we keep

  • Google Play purchase records. Google keeps these under its own policies. Deleting your Applore account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store app first to stop future charges.
  • Anonymised analytics that can no longer be linked to you.
  • Records we must keep by law (for example tax or fraud-prevention records), only for as long as the law requires.

Data on your phone

Your App Lock PIN or pattern, Vault Gallery (Media Vault), Password Vault and files are stored on your phone, not on our server. Account deletion doesn’t remove them. To remove them, uninstall Applore or clear its data in Android Settings. Export anything you want to keep first.
