A woman in a blazer walking outdoors while checking her phone

Short answer

Stays on your phone

These are stored and processed on your phone only. They are not sent to Applore or anyone else:

  • Needs your review results, including apps you mark as trusted. The check compares your apps with a list included in the app. See how detection works.
  • Safety Check progress and results.
  • “Someone had your phone?” snapshots and comparisons (Applore Pro).
  • Evidence reports you create. They leave your phone only if you share them yourself through Android’s share sheet.
  • Support hotlines. The list is included in the app, and Applore does not record which one you view or contact.
  • App Lock settings, the apps you lock, and your PIN or pattern. The optional accessibility service reads only the name of the app in front, and nothing from it leaves your phone.
  • Usage statistics used for screen time, app time limits, Focus Mode and paused apps.
  • The file index used by the file manager and duplicate finder.
  • Vault Gallery and Private Camera files (Applore Pro), kept in a private vault that opens only inside Applore.
  • Password Vault entries.

Goes to your own Google Drive, only if you turn it on

You can back up to your own Google Drive account:

Backups go directly from your phone to your Drive, using the permission you give with your Google account. Applore’s servers never receive the content. You can turn backups off in the app, and remove Applore’s access in your Google account settings.

Goes to Google

  • Firebase Analytics: an app instance ID, screens viewed, feature use, purchase type and the number of detection results. It does not receive package names or your list of apps.
  • Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring: crash reports, device and Android details and performance measurements.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging, In-App Messaging and Remote Config: an installation ID and messaging token, to deliver notifications, messages and settings.
  • Google Play Billing: your purchase. Applore never receives your payment details.
  • Google AdMob (Applore Free only): after the consent step where the law requires it, AdMob collects your IP address (approximate location), ad and app interactions, diagnostics, your advertising ID and app set ID. Your list of installed apps is not sent to advertising services.

Free and Pro

Applore Pro never starts the Google Mobile Ads SDK, so the AdMob data in the section above is not collected in Pro. Everything else on this page is the same in both versions. Compare Free and Pro.

Your choices

  • Use Applore without signing in.
  • Turn off Google Drive backups, and remove Applore’s Drive access in your Google account.
  • Turn off accessibility, usage access or device admin for Applore in Android Settings. Why Applore asks for each permission explains what stops working.
  • Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Applore Free).
  • Clear Applore’s data or uninstall it to remove what is stored on your phone. Export anything you want to keep first.
  • Ask us to delete your Applore account.
