What Password Vault does
Password Vault is a password manager built into Applore. It is free in Applore Free and Applore Pro.
- Save logins with more than one username or web address, for accounts you reach from several places.
- Sort by label, such as General, Mail, Social Media and Apps, and search by title.
- Create strong passwords with the password generator.
- Fill in logins in other apps with Android autofill.
- Back up to your own Google Drive, or to a folder on your phone, with optional automatic backup. Restore from a backup when you need to.
- Export a CSV file when you want to move to another password manager.
How it works
- Open Applore and tap Password Vault in the Privacy section of the Home screen.
- Enter your App Lock PIN or pattern. If you have not set one yet, Applore asks you to create one.
- Tap add, then enter a title, usernames, passwords and web addresses. Use the generator for a new password.
- To use autofill, open your phone’s settings and choose Applore as the autofill service.
- To back up, open Password Vault’s settings, choose Google Drive or a folder, and turn on automatic backup if you want it.
Setting up autofill on Android. On many phones, the setting is in Settings › Passwords and accounts › Autofill service. On others, look under Settings › System › Languages and input › Autofill service, or search Settings for “autofill”. Menus vary by phone maker and Android version. Backing up to Google Drive asks you to choose a Google account and allow Applore to save files in your Drive.
What stays on your phone
- Your saved passwords are stored on your phone, inside Applore.
- Opening Password Vault needs your App Lock PIN, pattern or fingerprint.
- Backups go straight from your phone to your own Google Drive, through the Google permission you give. Applore’s servers never receive the content.
- A folder backup stays wherever you choose on your phone.

Good to know
- Drive backups use your Google account. Restore with the same Google account you signed in to Applore with. If you plan to change accounts, export your passwords first.
- Your App Lock PIN is what opens Password Vault. Choose a PIN or pattern other people do not know. If you think someone knows it, change it.
- Autofill works where Android offers it. Some apps and browsers use their own password tools and may not show Applore’s suggestions.
- Keep your phone’s own screen lock on. Password Vault is one layer of privacy, not a replacement for the screen lock.
- Password Vault uses the same PIN as App Lock, so you only need to remember one.
Questions
Where are my passwords stored?
On your phone, inside Applore. You open Password Vault with your App Lock PIN, pattern or fingerprint. If you turn on backup, a copy goes to your own Google Drive or to a folder you choose on your phone. Applore's servers do not store your passwords. Vaults, passwords and backups.
Does Applore see my passwords when I back them up?
No. The backup goes from your phone straight to your own Google Drive, using the Google permission you give Applore. It does not pass through Applore's servers, and GTS Infosoft LLP never receives the content. You can remove Applore's access to your Drive at any time in your Google account settings.
Does Password Vault work with autofill?
Yes. Choose Applore as the autofill service in your phone's settings, and Android can offer your saved logins in other apps. On many phones the setting is under Settings › Passwords and accounts, or Settings › System › Languages and input › Autofill service. Menu names vary by phone maker and Android version.
Can I export my passwords and leave?
Yes. In Password Vault's settings, you can create a CSV file of your passwords and share it, for example to import into another password manager. The CSV file is plain text that anyone who opens it can read, so move it straight into the other app and then delete the file.
