What it does
Device Information
Device Information collects the facts about your phone in tabs:
- Device: model, maker and other identifiers the phone reports.
- OS: Android version and related details.
- CPU and RAM: the processor and memory.
- Storage: internal and external storage.
- Battery: level, health and temperature, where the phone reports them.
- Network: connection details.
- Sensors: the sensors built into your phone.
- Camera and Features: camera details and supported hardware features.
On the Home screen, a card shows memory use at a glance: how much RAM is in use and the total.
Hardware Test
Hardware Test is a grid of ten manual tests:

How it works
- Open Applore and scroll to the Device Information section of the Home screen.
- Tap Device Information to browse the tabs, or Hardware Test to open the test grid.
- Tap a test. Follow the instruction on screen, such as pressing the volume up button.
- Tap Pass if it worked, or Fail if it did not. The grid shows the result.
Most tests need no permission. The Bluetooth test may ask for permission to connect to nearby devices on newer Android versions, and the fingerprint test uses Android’s own fingerprint prompt.

What stays on your phone
Device details are read on your phone, and test results are stored only on your phone. Neither is sent to Applore as part of these tools. The privacy policy explains the general app information, such as device model and Android version, that Applore’s analytics and crash reports use.

Good to know
- The tests are manual. Applore runs each part of the phone, and you judge whether it worked. It does not diagnose faults automatically.
- There is no screen or display test. Check the screen by eye, as described in the questions below.
- Record results you want to keep. The grid can reset when you open Hardware Test again, and there is no shareable report.
- The memory card shows RAM use, not processor load.
- Not a benchmark. Device Information does not measure or score performance.

Questions
Which hardware tests does Applore include?
Ten manual tests: flashlight, loudspeaker, earpiece speaker, ear proximity sensor, light sensor, vibration, Bluetooth, fingerprint sensor, volume up button and volume down button. Each test runs the part of the phone, and you decide whether it worked by tapping Pass or Fail.
Is there a screen or display test?
No. Applore's Hardware Test does not include a screen, display or touch test. To check a screen, look at a plain white and a plain black image in full screen for marks or dead pixels, and drag a finger slowly across every part of the screen in a drawing app. Some phones also include a built-in diagnostics menu from the phone maker.
Does the Hardware Test send results anywhere?
No. Results are stored only on your phone and shown on the test grid. Applore does not create a report you can share. If you need a record, for example when you sell a phone, write the results down or take a screenshot of the grid, because the grid can reset the next time you open Hardware Test.
Is Device Information a benchmark?
No. Device Information shows what your phone reports about itself, such as the processor, memory, Android version and sensors. It does not measure speed or give a score, and it does not diagnose faults. The memory card shows how much RAM is in use at the moment, not how busy the processor is.
