What Vault Gallery does
Vault Gallery is a private gallery inside Applore. Files in it open only inside Applore, after your PIN, pattern or fingerprint.
- Move photos, videos, audio and documents into the vault. They are sorted into Photos, Videos, Audios and Documents.
- Keep them out of your gallery. The originals leave your gallery and other apps once they are in the vault.
- Restore any time. Files go back to the place they came from.
- Move to vault from other apps. Share a photo or video from your gallery or another app and choose Move to vault in Android’s share sheet.
- Back up to your own Google Drive with the optional Save to Drive switch.
Private Camera
Private Camera takes photos and videos that go straight into the vault. They never appear in your gallery.
- Open Private Camera from the Privacy section of Applore’s Home screen.
- Take photos or record videos as usual.
- To see what you took, tap the preview. Applore asks for your PIN, then opens the vault.
How it works
- Open Applore and tap Vault Gallery in the Privacy section of the Home screen.
- Enter your App Lock PIN or pattern. If you have not set one yet, Applore asks you to create one.
- Tap the add button, choose the files to move, and confirm. You can also share photos and videos from another app and choose Move to vault.
- To view a file, open its tab and tap it. It opens inside Applore.
- To restore files, select them and choose restore. They go back to their original place.
- Optional: turn on Save to Drive to back up the vault to your own Google Drive.
Applore needs All files access to move files into the vault and restore them. Android asks for it in its own settings screen. The permissions page explains why.
What stays on your phone
- Vault files live in a hidden folder on your phone’s storage.
- They open only inside Applore, after your PIN, pattern or fingerprint.
- Nothing is uploaded unless you turn on Save to Drive. Then files go to your own Google Drive, through the Google permission you give, and Applore’s servers never receive them.

Good to know
- The vault is private inside Applore, not invisible. Files sit in a hidden folder on your phone’s storage. Do not delete unfamiliar hidden folders with another file manager.
- Keep your PIN to yourself. Anyone who knows your App Lock PIN can open the vault.
- Drive backup uses your Drive storage. Large videos can take space and mobile data to upload.
- Private Camera is a simple camera. Use your phone’s own camera app for advanced modes, then move the photos to the vault.

Questions
Are vault files uploaded anywhere?
Only if you turn on backup. By default, vault files stay in a hidden folder on your phone's storage. If you switch on Save to Drive, Applore copies them to your own Google Drive using the Google permission you give. Applore's servers never receive your photos, videos or documents. Vaults, passwords and backups.
What happens to the originals when I move photos to the vault?
They leave your gallery. Applore moves each file into the vault and removes the original from its old place, so it no longer shows in your gallery or in other apps. Applore remembers where each file came from, so you can restore it to the same place later.
Can I get my files back out of the vault?
Yes. Open Vault Gallery, select the files and restore them. Each file goes back to its original location, and your gallery shows it again. Restore files you want to keep before you uninstall Applore, change the Google account you signed in with, or stop using Applore Pro.
What if I uninstall Applore with files in the vault?
Restore your files first. The vault is tied to the Google account you signed in to Applore with, and Applore cannot promise that a vault can be opened again after a reinstall, even with a Drive backup. Uninstalling or clearing Applore's data can leave vault files you cannot open, so move everything out before you do either.
