About Applore
What is Applore?
Applore is an Android app from GTS Infosoft LLP that checks installed apps for known stalkerware and hidden monitoring apps, locks private apps, and manages apps and files. Its safety tools are free and ad-free; Applore Pro removes ads everywhere else. It works on Android 8.0 and up, is not an antivirus, and can miss new apps. What Applore will and won't do lists it in plain words.
Is Applore safe?
Applore is published on Google Play by GTS Infosoft LLP, and Google Play is the only place to get it. The stalkerware check runs on your phone, and your list of installed apps is not sent to analytics or advertisers. Some data does leave the phone: your account details if you sign in (App Lock setup asks you to), crash reports and analytics, app names when you open App Category, and ad data in Applore Free. The privacy policy lists each one. No independent security audit of Applore has been published yet. What data Applore uses · Permissions.
Who makes Applore?
Applore is made by GTS Infosoft LLP, a software company that develops and publishes both Applore apps, Applore Free and Applore Pro, on Google Play, where the developer name appears as GTS Infosoft. You can write to the team at info@applore.io. About Applore and GTS Infosoft LLP.
Can I use Applore to monitor someone else's phone?
No. Applore does not monitor anyone, and GTS Infosoft LLP does not build tools for that. It helps the person holding the phone check what is installed on it, lock their own apps and keep their own files private. It cannot track another phone, read another person's messages or show where they are. What Applore will and won't do.
Is Applore related to Applore Technologies?
No. Applore, the Android app by GTS Infosoft LLP, is not connected with Applore Technologies, an app development agency, or with the applore.app icon library. Earlier versions of the app were listed on Google Play as Applore Device Manager and Applore - Phone Assistant. The package names are applore.device.manager and applore.device.manager.pro.
Where can I safely download Applore?
Only from Google Play, as Applore Free or Applore Pro, both published by GTS Infosoft. There are no APK downloads and no iPhone version. Websites offering an Applore APK, a mod or a "Pro unlocked" file are not ours, and a modified copy of a safety app is exactly the kind of app the Suspicious App Checker warns about. Get Applore on Google Play.
Why does Applore need these permissions?
Most tools ask for the access they need when you first open them. The first check asks you to agree to the apps-list access, and the Suspicious App Checker then reads the list of installed apps. App Lock uses usage access, or an optional accessibility service, to notice which app is in front. The file tools need storage access, and backups need access to your own Google Drive. Why Applore asks for each permission.
Getting started
Which Android versions does Applore support?
Applore works on Android devices with Android 8.0 and up. It is available for Android only, on Google Play, as Applore Free and Applore Pro. If Google Play says Applore is not compatible with your device, check your Android version in Settings › About phone.
What is the difference between Applore Free and Applore Pro?
Applore Free includes the safety tools, App Lock, Password Vault, and the file, contact and app tools, and it shows ads outside the safety screens. Applore Pro has no ads and adds Phone back check (a snapshot check), Vault Gallery, Private Camera, Advance Lock, Large File Analyzer, File Finder search and Focus Mode schedules. Pro also removes the daily limits on duplicate files and contact merges. You can get Pro as a monthly or yearly Google Play subscription inside Applore Free, or as the separate paid app Applore Pro. Compare Free and Pro.
Where do ads appear in Applore Free?
Applore Free shows ads outside the safety screens, as banners and full-screen ads on many screens. The safety screens, such as Suspicious App Checker, Safety Check, the support hotlines and the safe removal steps, show no ads in either version. Ads are provided by Google AdMob and follow the consent choices you make. Applore Pro shows no ads. See advertising in Applore Free.
Do I need to sign in?
Not for most tools. Setting up App Lock currently asks you to sign in with Google, and Password Vault, Vault Gallery and marking an app as trusted use your App Lock PIN or pattern. Signing in also lets you recover a forgotten App Lock PIN by choosing the same Google account. Backups to Google Drive use a separate permission for your own Drive. The privacy policy explains what is stored when you sign in.
Safety tools
What does the Suspicious App Checker look at?
Applore looks for known stalkerware, known harmful apps and hidden monitoring apps, for copies of popular apps installed from outside an app store, and for warning signs such as a hidden app icon or access to your notifications, accessibility or screen. If Google Play Protect is on, it also shows the apps Play Protect reports as harmful. It cannot detect every monitoring app, so review anything it flags. The check runs on your phone, is free and shows no ads. How detection works explains each signal and level.
Does Applore detect every monitoring app?
No. Applore compares installed apps with a list of known stalkerware and harmful apps and looks for warning signs, so it can miss things. New or unknown apps, apps in a work profile, another user or Private Space, preinstalled system apps and tools that need a rooted phone may not be detected. Scheduled scans can be delayed by battery saving, and someone with access to the phone can uninstall Applore. A result that finds nothing does not prove the phone is clean. How detection works.
Why is my parental control app labelled a monitoring app?
Applore uses a public list that includes monitoring apps, such as parental control and employee tracking apps. When one is installed from an app store, Applore labels it a monitoring app, not spyware, so you know it is there. The label is not a verdict. If you installed it yourself and are happy with it, choose Trust this app and confirm with your App Lock PIN or pattern. Parental and family apps vs stalkerware.
How does Applore keep its list of known apps up to date?
A person reviews each update to the threat list and publishes it by hand. Applore checks for a new signed list about once a day when your phone is online, and rejects any file whose signature does not match. The download sends nothing about your apps. No list includes every new version of an app, so Applore also looks for warning signs. How detection works.
Does Applore use Google Play Protect?
If Google Play Protect is on, Applore also lists the installed apps Play Protect reports as harmful, and says the finding comes from Play Protect. If Play Protect is off or not available, that part is skipped and the rest of the check carries on. Keep Play Protect on: it checks things Applore does not. What Google Play Protect checks.
Why did Applore flag an antivirus test app?
Antivirus test apps contain only a standard test file and cannot harm your phone. Security apps flag them on purpose so you can check that they work, and Applore shows them as a harmless test threat. Uninstall the test app when you are done, or mark it as trusted.
Why is my modified or downloaded copy of a popular app listed?
Applore lists apps from outside an app store that use the name or package of a popular app but are not signed by its publisher, or whose publisher it cannot confirm. Modified copies and official downloads from a developer's website both look like this. Such an app is Worth a look, not a verdict. It reaches High only if it also hides its icon or has accessibility, notification or device admin access. If you installed it yourself, mark it as trusted.
What does Quick exit do?
Quick exit leaves Applore in one tap: it opens your home screen and removes Applore from Recents. Safety screens also block screenshots and show a blank preview in Recents. Quick exit does not delete data and does not hide that Applore is installed. Hotlines and Quick exit.
App Lock
I forgot my App Lock PIN. What now?
In Applore, open App Lock and tap Forget Password on the lock screen. Choose the Google account you signed in to Applore with, then set a new PIN or pattern. If you are not signed in but turned on fingerprint unlock, you can use your fingerprint instead. Recovery is not offered on the lock screen shown over other apps, and your PIN or pattern is never emailed or sent to us. App Lock.
Does App Lock read my screen?
No. App Lock can use Android's accessibility service if you turn it on, so the lock appears straight away. The service receives only window-change events and reads only the name of the app that comes to the front. The same service is used by Mental Wellbeing (Focus Mode, Paused Apps and App usage limits). It does not read what is on your screen, what you type or your messages, and nothing it reads leaves your phone. The only record is an unlock history kept on your phone. It is optional: without it, these features use usage access. How App Lock uses accessibility.
Vaults and passwords
What happens to originals when I move files to the vault?
When you move photos, videos, audio or documents into Vault Gallery (Applore Pro), the originals are removed from your gallery and the files are kept in a private vault that opens only inside Applore after your PIN. You can restore files to their original place at any time. Restore anything you want to keep before you uninstall Applore or clear its data, because you may not be able to recover the vault afterwards. Vault Gallery.
Are my vault files or passwords uploaded anywhere?
Not unless you turn on a backup. Vault Gallery files and Password Vault entries are stored on your phone. If you turn on backup or sync, they go directly from your phone to your own Google Drive, using the permission you give with your Google account. We never receive the content of your backups. You can turn backups off in the app and remove Applore's access to Drive in your Google account. Vaults, passwords and backups.
Can I export my passwords?
Yes. Password Vault can export your saved passwords to a CSV file that you can share or save, for example to move to another password manager. A CSV file is plain text, so anyone who opens it can read your passwords: keep it somewhere safe and delete it when you are done. Viewing the vault requires your App Lock PIN. Password Vault.
Files and storage
How many duplicate files can I remove in Free?
In Applore Free you can clear one group of duplicate files per day. Applore Pro has no daily limit. Duplicate Files finds exact copies, keeps the first file in each group and selects the others for removal. Deleting happens when you tap, without an extra confirmation, and cannot be undone, so check the selection and back up anything important first. Duplicate files.
Does Applore clean junk or boost RAM?
No. Applore does not clean junk, clear caches for you or boost RAM, and it does not claim to speed up your phone. Modern Android versions manage memory and app caches themselves. Free up space opens Android's own storage settings, where you can see what uses space and clear an app's cache the way Android intends. To find large or duplicate files, use Duplicate files.
Contacts
What format is the contacts backup?
Applore backs up contacts as a vCard file (.vcf), the standard format most phones and email services can import. You can save the file to a folder on your phone or to your own Google Drive, and import it again later from either place. CSV export is not available for contacts. Contacts.
Can I undo a contact merge?
Not inside the merge screen. Merge now replaces the duplicate contacts with one merged contact, so the originals are removed. To be able to go back, back up your contacts as a vCard file before merging; you can then import that backup to restore them. Applore Free allows 5 merges per day, and Applore Pro has no daily limit. Contacts.
Wellbeing
Do paused apps unpause automatically?
No. A paused app stays paused until you unpause it in Paused Apps, even after midnight. When you open a paused app, Applore shows a block screen instead. To set a time budget that resets each day, use App usage limits, which sets a daily limit per app. Scheduled Focus Mode is part of Applore Pro. Mental Wellbeing.
Device information
Does Applore test the display?
No. Hardware Test has ten manual pass or fail tests: flashlight, loudspeaker, earpiece, proximity sensor, light sensor, vibration, Bluetooth, fingerprint, volume up and volume down. There is no display or touch-screen test. Each test runs while you watch or listen, and you mark whether it worked. Device information.
Account and data
How do I delete my Applore account?
Email info@applore.io with the subject "Delete my Applore account" from the Google address you signed in with. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email. Deleting your account does not remove data stored on your phone, and it does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Delete your Applore account lists what is deleted and what is kept.
What data does Applore collect?
It depends on the features you use. App checks, Safety Check results, snapshots, App Lock data, vault files and passwords stay on your phone. If you sign in, your Google email, name and photo link are stored. Each request to our server includes your Android device ID, and App Category sends app package names to our server. Firebase receives analytics and crash reports without your app list, and Applore Free uses Google AdMob. What stays on your phone and what leaves it.
Why does App Category send app names to a server?
To show categories, App Category sends the package names of your installed apps, in batches, to Applore's server, which returns a category for each. This happens only when you open App Category. The data is used only to show categories and not for advertising. The stalkerware check does not send your app list anywhere. Privacy policy.
Troubleshooting
Why does the lock screen appear late on my phone?
By default, App Lock notices a locked app through usage access, which can take a moment. Turn on the optional accessibility service in App Lock (Faster lock) for the lock to appear straight away. Some phone makers also stop background services to save battery: allow Applore to run without battery restrictions, and on Xiaomi phones allow background pop-ups for Applore. Menu names vary by phone maker.
Some apps are missing from the list. What can I do?
Tap Reload in the menu of the app list to load newly installed apps. Preinstalled apps appear under the System tab rather than My Apps. Apps in a work profile, another user or Private Space are not visible to Applore. If an app is still missing, email info@applore.io with your phone model and Android version.
